Household Battery Drop-Off Locations:

All types of household batteries must be recycled - it's required by state law.  All the sites below accept rechargeable batteries; the sites highlighted in blue accept both rechargeable and non-rechargeable (alkaline) batteries.  Cell phones - and their batteries - are accepted anywhere they are sold.

AUTO BATTERIES
Automobile batteries are also banned from the trash.  When you buy a new battery, the store where you purchased it is required to take your old battery for recycling.  Lead is separated from the other battery parts and is used to make new batteries.  Auto batteries are also accepted for recycling drop-off at these locations:
