Did you know?
Trash from the Cities of Vallejo, Napa and American Canyon and southern unincorporated Napa County is brought to the Devlin Road Recycling & Transfer Facility, where it is loaded into trucks and sent to Keller Canyon Landfill in Pittsburg, CA.
When NROWS took over DRRTF operation in July 2007, a m
ixed construction & demolition (C&D) processing area was added in the outdoor area of the facility. DRRTF staff now sort mixed loads of C&D and self haul materials in order to capture more recyclable material, such as wood, plastics, and metal.
In addition, over 20 tons a month of reusable items are pulled aside and sent to St. Vincent de Paul in Eugene, Oregon.
You can help send less material to the landfill by:
Recycling and reducing waste at work, school and home
Using the Napa Recycling & Composting Facility for separated materials
Dropping off reusable materials at the Reuse & Recycle Center
Taking mixed C&D loads to the outdoor area instead of the DRRTF tipping floor
