Water-Wise Home Surveys The City of Napa offers this free service to help its residential and commercial water customers use water more efficiently and reduce their bills. A water conservation specialist will visit your site and: - Check for leaks and recommend repairs
- Check toilet flush volumes
- Check faucet and showerhead flow rates
- Evaluate all other water-using appliances and equipment
- Provide free water-saving fixtures if neededand identify applicable rebates
- Inspect your irrigation system and recommend improvements
- Advise you on irrigation scheduling

Appliance Rebates
Get a new energy-efficient appliance and recycle your outdated metal appliances for free at the Napa Recycling & Composting Facility!
CLOTHES WASHERSHigh-efficiency residential clothes washers use as little as 18 gallons of water per load, saving more than 50% in water and energy costs. Area cities are working together with PG&E to offer a combined water-energy rebate of up to $200 on certain high-efficiency models. Washer retailers have the application and eligible washer list. REFRIGERATORS, FREEZERS & ROOM AIR CONDITIONERS Pacific Gas and Electric Company(PG&E) customers may qualify for a rebate by recycling old refrigerators, freezers and room air conditioners. Refrigerators or freezers must be 10-30 cubic feet each, empty and working. There is a limit of two units per household per year. The service and pickup are free. Qualifying customers will receive a rebate in 6-8 weeks for each unit. Funding is limited. For details or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-299-7573 or visit www.pge.com/res/rebates. TOILETS City of Napa water customers and Napa Sanitation District sewer customers can take advantage of generous financial incentives to replace pre-1992 water-wasting toilets (3.5 or more gallons per flush) with today's high-efficiency toilets, some of which use as little as 1 gallon per flush. Visit www.cityofnapa.org/water or www.napasanitationdistrict.com for details on current programs, or call the City's Water Conservation Representative at 257-9497. Commercial customers may also obtain rebates for high-efficiency urinals and other water-saving equipment.
The City of American Canyon will reimburse up to $100 for every qualifying standard toiled removed and replaced with an ultra-low flush toilet. Call the American Canyon Public Works Department at 647-4550 for more details, as well as info about free low-flow shower heads and sink aerators.
